Science Communication
Communicating science to everyday people is core to COMETA's outreach mission. COMETA is a network of high-energy physicists from across Europe, and our network activities (working group meetings, training schools for PhD students and junior researchers, collaboration visits) are publicly funded. This means that our activities are paid for by taxes, taxes that are paid by everyone from janitors and train conductors to business professionals and scientists themselves. This also means that the scientific outputs of the network (research publications, knowledge) belong to the public. Whether you are a student interested in becoming a scientist or a pensioner just curious about how atoms work, please enjoy the many scientific outputs of COMETA!
You can read our science communication plan here.

Software
The COMETA network periodically releases new open-sourced simulation tools for high-energy physics analyses. Some may have applications outside high-energy physics, some may not. Some may have commercial applications, some may not. Here are some some COMETA-developed software projects:

Physics Education
The COMETA network supports the development of resources for introducing modern high-energy physics and data science, including Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, into the classroom.
